Small Group Ministry: Communities within community.
Unitarian Universalists affirm and promise ...
acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth in our congregations.
“Covenant Groups are a transformational practice through which we, with others, can discover our own underlying assumptions about reality and examine our ways of being....The practice of Small Group Ministry does ask us to suspend judgment long enough to hear respectfully the understandings of others, even those vastly different from our own.” Robert Hill, The Complete Guide to Small Group Ministry: Saving the World Ten at a Time.
What is a Covenant Group?
You will find a small group who meet together regularly, offering opportunity to connect with others in our growing church, and to explore our values and ideas of spirituality in an intimate setting.
- If you seek a place to explore and ponder some of life’s deeper questions, you might try a covenant group.
- If you seek a community where you are known and not judged, then perhaps covenant groups are for you.
- If you seek a place where you can say how it really is for you, then perhaps covenant groups are for you.
- If you seek a place where you have deep and meaningful connections with other adults, then covenant groups may be what you are looking for.
